See more details Columbus Women's March, Rally for Abortion Justice Columbus Women's March, Rally for Abortion Justice October 2, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm Ohio Statehouse, 1 Capitol Square, Columbus, OH 43215, USA We march to show solidarity with the people affected by the abortion ban in Texas. We also march because we are well aware that Ohio could be next to pass similar laws. But we will not only march, we will also make October 2nd a day of action. We will meet at the Statehouse at 12:00 noon, march to Goodale Park, where we will have a training to do a voter registration drive. Training will take about 15 minutes. Instead of just marching, we will be actively working to change Republican control of the statehouse that they have maintained because of gerrymandering. Marching to Goodale will begin at 1pm. Led by Get the Vote Out, a non-partisan LGBTQ voter education and empowerment group, along with other Central Ohio LGBTQ organizations and leaders, this event is designed to increase LGBTQ voter turnout in an otherwise low-participation election. Highlights will include several local LGBTQ entertainers, candidates on the ballot, elected leaders and feature a Trunk or Treat, where folks are encouraged to decorate their vehicles and put them on display for the chance to win one of several prizes.
