The first deadline to reunite children separated from their parents for 100 children 5 and younger has passed—And our government didn’t meet it!
The rest of the children are supposed to be reunited by July 26. But the Trump Administration is not in any hurry to comply.
That’s where we come in. We can’t just move on and forget about these families.
Neither should Stivers.
Please join us for a play date protest at Stivers’ Hilliard and Lancaster offices. Ideally, we’d have protests at each of his three offices—Wilmington folks, let us know if you plan to participate. The more the merrier!
- Wednesday, July 25, at 9 am.
- Three locations!
- 3790 Municipal Way, Hilliard, Ohio 43026
- 104 East Main Street, Lancaster, Ohio 43130
In preparation for this protest, we have a challenge for all of our families who won’t be quiet until all the children are reunited with their moms and dads. We don’t have an exact number of children because the government did not keep good records. But we have an estimate of close to 3,000. https://www.vox.com/…/children-separated-parents-border-how…
Our challenge! We wanna see if we can get to 3,000 paper chains with a message from your family to our government. Construction paper works well. Lots of tutorials. Here’s one: http://www.auntannie.com/FridayFun/DollChain/
