So Portman finally made a commitment. He voted Yes on the motion to proceed to debate and Yes on a version of the BCRA that included the unscored Cruz amendment. Next, he shut constituents out of his Columbus office.

He’s gone all in on his commitment to shut Ohio voices out of the legislative process. We can’t let him get away with it.

So we’ll be telling Senator Portman, “Don’t Shut Out Ohio!”

Wednesday 7/26 at noon at his Columbus office,  37 W Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215

Bring your signs that say related phrases, like Portman, Don’t Shut Out Constituents, Can You Hear Us, Portman?, Are You Listening, Portman?, Our Stories Matter, Portman and Ohio Voices Matter, Portman.

And since Portman is having trouble hearing us, bring along something to make some noise, like pots and pans with spoons, horns, bells, or whatever you can think of.

Encourage your friends who can’t attend to follow the event on social media and join in the noise making from their location. This is a traditional and powerful form of protest because everyone can be heard.
