These are strange and difficult times. We are not winning every battle–but we are winning some! Now is the time to keep pressing forward, demanding that our elected officials listen to us and respond to our concerns.

Current events are concerning and it’s tempting to tune out.  As Leah McElrath said “If you are feeling despair, you are not alone. But the reality is that resistance is more important than ever. . . .  So go ahead cry and feel the despair and fear. Know that experiencing such emotions just means you have a good grasp on reality. But never forget that you are part of something much larger than yourself. . . . You are part of the resistance. And we need you.”

Luckily, the month of April is FULL of opportunities to protest and push back against the Trump agenda. And because there is a congressional recess this month, there will be opportunities to “bird-dog” Tiberi–show up wherever he is, ask him why he won’t hold a town hall, and let him know we are disappointed in his actions. If he won’t come to us to answer questions, we will bring the questions to him!

The 4/23 OH12 Town Hall is a BIG DEAL and
we are hoping to have a BIG CROWD.
We will need a lot of volunteers: Please reply to this email if you can help out!
Here is what we have planned so far:
Activist Fair in the Fellowship Hall: Booths with representatives from important local progressive organizations where you will be able to learn/learn about skills such as writing a letter to the editor, using social media, and bird-dogging.
Town Hall with a panel of experts on topics of national importance who will answer the questions you would have asked Tiberi if he cared enough about his constituents to meet with them.
Food Drive for the Our Lady of Guadalupe food bank.  Particular needs are dried black and pinto beans, oatmeal, cereal, sugar, canned tuna (in water) and salt.
Let us know if you or your organization would like to be a part of the Activist Fair and have a table or booth. Send us a short description of your group and what training or information you will be offering so we can see how it fits in with other groups. (Send an email to IndivisibleOH12@gmail.com)
