Since this summer, resistance groups across the country have been planning for a response just in case Trump moves to fire Mueller, who is “the special prosecutor investigating whether his campaign colluded with Russia.”  Slate wrote about this movement in July.

Indivisible Districts 3, 12, and 15 are working together to plan our response.  Our current plans are that if Trump fires Mueller prior to 2 p.m. Eastern, rallies will occur at 5 p.m. local time that day; If Trump fires Mueller after 2 p.m. Eastern Time, rallies will occur at Noon local time the following day.  We want to be ready to take the streets to demand that Congress respond quickly and forcefully – to protect our democracy and justice system. #NotAboveTheLaw

If you’re on Facebook, you can RSVP to this event to be notified of details.  If not, watch this website, our groups’ twitter feeds, as well as the Facebook event for details.  Please note that the date is a placeholder.  We hope that we never have to hold this rally, but we’re ready just in case.

**NOTE – This is a replacement for the original (but cancelled) Rapid Resist Mueller Firing event. This event is at a NEW LOCATION (the amphitheater at the Franklin Park Conservatory) because parking there is ample and free, and is hosted only by Indivisible. Attendees will be expected to comply with Indivisible guidelines for rallies: no guns, no violence. Thank you in advancing for respecting those guidelines if you choose to participate!
